Anything that's warrior meta can work with the vamp sword damage. It's the degen you need to work on. In case of PvE, Feel No Pain can cover the mods degen for you plus give 1 or 2 extra pips of health regen at a low cost of 5 energy every 30 seconds to maintain. Of course, you can just switch weapon sets and switch back to vamp set right at the start of the battle. It depends which method of dealing with the degen you want, really.
In PvP switching is most advised. You want to spend more effort in destruction, not staying alive (unless you want to tank). My fav pve warrior meta is the Dragon Slash build. Though, like I said, any meta will do. Just pick one yourself. |

On any build with a number of energy skills (frenzy, bull's strike, savage slash, protector's strike), using zealous to pump all your skills on recharge will put out easily more damage than being out of energy on your vamp all the time.

i find that camping my vamp set then switching to zealous out of necessity is generally superior to camping zealous.

In PvE... who cares about energy. If you want to spam high energy skills, you can still run a WE build, no zealous needed.
